Historic walks near Emporia, Kansas

This week’s itinerary is for my mom and dad out in Emporia, Kansas. Mom asked for day hikes that she and dad could drive to and from in a day; Dad suggested ghost towns(!). I’m going to try to satisfy them both with these suggestions.
